Finance law encompasses both the regulatory framework for financial institutions and markets and the legal framework governing financing arrangements, financial products and related transactions. Norwegian finance law is closely connected with European financial regulation, while important requirements also follow from Norwegian legislation, contractual arrangements and market practice.
