About Businesslaw.no

Businesslaw.no is an English-language publication providing practical analysis and insight into Norwegian business and finance law for companies, financial institutions, investors, foreign law firms and other professionals doing business in or with Norway.

Finance law is a central focus of the publication. Businesslaw.no also covers corporate law and transactions, restructuring and insolvency, contracts and commercial disputes, particularly where these areas intersect with financing, investment and cross-border business.

Businesslaw.no is published by LexOslo, a Norwegian boutique business law firm. Finance law is at the core of LexOslo's practice. The firm also advises on transactions, disputes and a range of corporate and commercial matters, particularly where the work calls for close senior attention, financial-sector insight or an international perspective.

LexOslo advises Norwegian and international companies, financial institutions, investors and foreign law firms on matters under Norwegian law. Much of its work has an international or cross-border dimension, including advising businesses operating or investing in Norway and working alongside foreign legal counsel on matters requiring Norwegian law expertise.

LexOslo was founded by attorney Harald Sætermo, who has more than 25 years of experience from legal practice and the banking sector, including experience from leading law firms and as in-house and group counsel in a large Northern European financial institution.

The content published on Businesslaw.no is intended for general information and analysis. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as advice in relation to any specific matter.
